Eesti Poliitiliste Liit has launched a new initiative designed to help citizens participate more actively in local decision-making and community life.
The initiative will include public discussions, practical workshops, educational materials, and cooperation with municipalities, schools, and civil society organisations. Participants will learn more about their democratic rights, opportunities to influence local decisions, and ways to develop community-led solutions.
The programme reflects the organisation’s belief that strong communities are built when citizens feel informed, heard, and empowered to take action.
“Citizen participation should not be limited to elections. It also includes everyday involvement in community life, public discussions, volunteering, and cooperation with local institutions,” said a representative of Eesti Poliitiliste Liit.
The first activities will take place in Tallinn and will later be expanded to other Estonian communities.
Public Forum Explores the Future of Democracy in Estonia
Researchers, educators, public officials, civil society representatives, and citizens came together at a public forum organised by Eesti Poliitiliste Liit to discuss the future of democratic participation in Estonia.
